I was born in Richmond, Virginia, and lived there before attending Florida State University. After college, I spent a few years in Denver, soaking in the beauty of the Rocky Mountains and diving into a variety of creative projects. But it’s Slidell, Louisiana, where I’ve called home for the past 15 years. Living here, I love being so close to the city—New Orleans offers the perfect balance of creativity, culture, and energy, and it influences my design process. The unique mix of Southern charm and vibrant city life constantly fuels my creativity.
I consider myself a “forever student”—always eager to learn and stay on top of the latest advancements in the industry through coursework and professional development. I believe continuous learning is key to staying sharp and offering fresh, innovative solutions to every project I tackle. This drive for growth is what pushes me to continually evolve as a designer, ensuring that every project I work on reflects the latest creative ideas and technological innovations.
What sets me apart from a typical designer? For one, I’m always open to feedback—it’s the only way to grow and improve. I’m known as the most passionate marketer many people have ever worked with because I care about every pixel being perfect. I don’t just design to look good—I design to work seamlessly and drive results. And when a job is worth doing, I stop at nothing to make sure it’s done right.
Along the way, I’ve had some unforgettable experiences. A CEO once said to me, "You make payroll sexy," which has become a personal mantra for my ability to mix creativity with results-driven solutions. I’ve gotten lost in Amsterdam, Beijing, and even Home Depot, but I can always spot which pixel is out of place. One of my most memorable adventures was when I danced with strangers at a park in Munich—proof that creativity and fun go hand in hand.
I believe in color psychology more than astrology (because, let’s face it, colors have real power). I’ve even painted my walls based on hex codes, proving that design runs through every aspect of my life. I also consider “global aesthetic inspiration” a line item in my budget—because design is everywhere, and I make it a priority to incorporate diverse influences into everything I create.
I’ve designed websites in pajamas, ballgowns, and once even in a treehouse—because creativity doesn’t have a dress code (or a location, apparently). I also used to be a party planner and still throw themed Tuesday Nights—because who says the fun has to stop just because it’s midweek?
I’ve had the privilege of mentoring junior designers and coders and still cheer when they succeed. Seeing others grow and thrive in the design world brings me as much joy as landing my own creative milestones. And let’s not forget, I was once Donald Trump’s waitress, which was an experience that taught me a thing or two about resilience and attention to detail.
